Payment Terms
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. Overview
Ignisyn Tech follows a milestone-based payment model. This structure protects both the client and Ignisyn Tech by linking payments to actual stages of project progress. No phase of work begins until the corresponding payment for that milestone is received and confirmed.
The total project price is agreed upon and signed in a Statement of Work (SOW) or Project Agreement before any work begins.
2. Milestone Payment Structure
Milestone 1 — Project Start: 20%
Due before any work begins. This payment confirms the engagement and allows Ignisyn Tech to allocate the team, begin discovery sessions, plan the architecture, set up repositories, and prepare the project roadmap. This payment is non-refundable once work has started.
Milestone 2 — Half Work Done: 30%
Due when 50% of the agreed project scope has been completed and demonstrated to the client. At this point, core backend APIs, primary AI components, database structure, and the frontend skeleton will be functional and visible in a staging environment. If the client raises no objections within 5 business days of the review, the milestone is considered approved and payment becomes due within 3 business days.
Milestone 3 — Final Delivery: 50%
Due at the time of delivery. Delivery means all features from the SOW are built and tested, source code is handed over, production deployment is complete, all credentials and documentation are delivered, and a final walkthrough session has been conducted. Full access to code and all deliverables is released only after this final payment is received.
3. What Happens If Payment Is Delayed
If any milestone payment is not received on time, Ignisyn Tech will send a reminder after 3 business days. If payment is still not received after 7 days, development work will be paused and a late fee of 1.5% per month may be applied to the outstanding amount. If payment is not received within 30 days of the due date, Ignisyn Tech may terminate the contract and retain all payments received to that point.
4. Payment Methods Accepted
Ignisyn Tech accepts bank transfer (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS), UPI, international wire transfer (SWIFT), PayPal, and card payments via Stripe. A 2.5% processing fee applies to card payments. All invoices must be referenced by the project invoice number provided by Ignisyn Tech.
5. Scope Changes and Additional Work
Any work requested beyond the original agreed scope will be quoted separately and billed as an add-on. Additional work follows the same milestone payment structure or may be billed at an agreed hourly rate. No out-of-scope work begins without a written change request approved by both parties.
6. Refund Policy
The Milestone 1 payment is non-refundable once work has commenced. If a client wishes to cancel after Milestone 1 but before Milestone 2, no further payment is owed but the initial 20% is retained. If a client cancels after Milestone 2 payment, the 30% is also non-refundable and the client is entitled to receive all work completed up to that point. No refund is issued on Milestone 3 once delivery has been made.
7. Warranty After Delivery
After Milestone 3 payment is received, Ignisyn Tech provides a 14-day bug-fix warranty period. Any bugs directly related to the agreed scope will be fixed at no additional charge during this window. Issues arising from client-side changes, third-party service changes, or requests outside the original scope are not covered under this warranty.
